Winteral 2025 will be lighting up the city on Friday 21st November and every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Christmas, as well as every day on Christmas week.

In the heart of Winterval, the Granville Hotel is the perfect place to take a break from shopping and get in the Christmas spirit. Join us in the Bianconi Restaurant for a festive lunch with friends, a relaced dinner after a day of Christmas celebrations or your office Christmas Lunch.

Throughout December we are serving lunch and dinner in our restaurant daily with seasonal menus that bring all of the warmth and flavour of Christmas to your table. We also have an early evening dining option, our Prix Fixe Menu, running Sunday-Thursday 5:00pm-7:00pm.

Christmas Afternoon Tea

Add a sparkle to the season with our Festive Afternoon Tea. Perfect for catching up with friends, treating someone special or taking a well-earned break from Christmas shopping. Enjoy tiers of seasonal delights and delecatable desserts, all freshly made in house.

Festive Afternoon Tea available on Saturdays 1:30pm-3:30pm. Please booked before 1:00pm on Friday. For larger groups who wish to book for a time outside of this, please contact us directly.

Winterval 2025

Winterval, Ireland’s largest Christmas festival, and now the European City of Christmas, will return to Waterford in November and December for its 13th year with its biggest and most festive programme yet. Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, will be transformed into a magical Winterval wonderland.

Brought to you by Waterford City and County Council, Winterval 2025 will see the return of lots of the original attractions, brand new events, and magical reimaginations of so many of the festival favourites.

Winterval runs Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays and then right into Christmas Week from Friday 21st November, until Wenesday 23rd December. Some events run on non-Winterval dates and beyond Dec 23rd. Click the link below for the full itinerary.
