It was a pleasure to stay in the Granville hotel, it’s our favourite hotel in Waterford. I like the the fact that’s is old fashioned and so comfortable, the staff were brilliant and the rooms absolutely spotless. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We stayed at 11 different accommodations during our travels in Ireland and the Granville Hotel was absolutely the best. From arrival for an early check in, for our Carvery lunch, the spotless and large room, the excellent breakfast choices and our wonderful evening dinner. The top reason for our high rating is also due to the amazing and genuine customer service exhibited by every staff person we interacted with. It was refreshing to experience this top notch service culture. So critical in the hospitality industry but so often falls short in many places.

We experienced our stay in the Granville hotel, as one of the best we had in a long time. The general atmosphere in the hotel was warm and cosy due to the fact that hotel kept his former grandeur and also to the friendly and always helpfull staff. Food in the bar was to a high standart and we appriciated the daily changing chef'sspecial. Breakfast was excellent and there was also a link to the local producers, which is always an added value. To exoress our appreciation we wrote a comment to Tripadvisor with the same content.

We loved this hotel, so beautiful. The meals were wonderful and the staff very friendly. Hope to visit again in the future.

My wife and I had a great experience at the Granville. The hotel was truly more than what we expected from reading about it on the Internet. All staff were extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful. We had a fabulous dinner in the restaurant. Although we had breakfast as part of the package we could not make the time because of the early train that we had to catch. However the receptionist made sure that we had a continental breakfast in the dining room and the cook even came out to ask if we would like a hot breakfast. Our stay at the Granville and in Waterford was one of the most pleasant experiences of our trip.

The hotel itself was great with a good atmosphere and interesting decor. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I was happy with my room and the bathroom. However, the reason that I have only awarded a score of 3 is because the evening meal was poor. It was the worst of my entire week in Ireland. The chowder was abysmal, the steak was tough and the dishes were overcome with soggy onions. A real disappointment. By contrast, the breakfast was great.

great hotel lovely food great staff very central location only complaint there was no rte 2 reception in our bedroom but we would not have even noticed that only that the match was on. We definitely be back again because I am so sorry I didn't try the organic porridge with baileys in the morning and also the plaice I was sleepy reading menu.

We really enjoyed our one night stay. The bar and restaurant were both excellent with fresh decor. The bedroom was fine too as was the bathroom, with the exception of the cleanliness of the grouting around the bath and the non-functioning extractor fan. It was a very humid August night when we stayed - the absence of air-conditioning in a 4 star hotel was surprising. We would not stay in summer again. All the staff were friendly. The wait staff in the restaurant, though need a bit of training, e.g. Maybe suggest some less overly-familiar ways to address customers and the fact that crossed cutlery on a plate does not mean the diner is finished and the plate may be whisked away.

Already given the review in Trip Advisor by my colleague who stayed with me in your hotel ( VOV1959) You have also replied to him.

Overall our stay was excellent However the lunch arrangement in the bar might be revied. It was annoying to see people blocking free tables while they queued and thus added to congestion. The food offering was very good value.

This historic hotel allowed us an amazing experience. Centerally located to the downtown of Waterford, we did not get in our car once. All museums, playgrounds, waterfront, and shopping is within walking distance. The food in the resteraunt was of great quality as well. Thank you Granville for an unforgettable experience.

The customer service at the Granville is second to none. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great stay.

Good location in the centre of the town. The staff are charming and helpful and the room is comfortable, though not designed for a woman traveller. (Fixed head shower and no light near the mirror). Nice touch to have a pod-based coffee machine in the room but no instructions given. Can be recommended.
