Easy and excellent
Everything from booking to checking out is easy with the Granville. They even give you a courtesy call before you arrive. And then you find the usual excellence with the welcome, the exceptional room comfort and the really enjoyable facilities like the bar and dining options. We always love staying here. Undoubtedly the best hotel in Waterford.

Great Stay in Waterford
We had a quick one night stay in Waterford at the Granville Hotel. Comfortable beds and a great location right in the city center. Easy to walk the town from the hotel. Breakfast was amazing with a very generous porridge set up with Irish Whiskey, Baileys, etc. I would definitely stay again. Staff at the front desk, breakfast area and bar were friendly and made you feel welcome and appreciated.

The Hotel is Perfect!
Centrally located in the city center. Free parking close by. Rooms were clean and maintained in perfect condition. The entire staff was warm and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. There is a large pub on the ground floor that is warm and cozy.

Weekend break
Excellent hotel and wonderful staff and most welcoming we will definitely be staying again very soon

Old Style Comfort and Care
A beautiful historic hotel with comfort and care of visitors as a top priority. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, efficient and respectful The rooms were spacious and very comfortably decorated.Shower was great and the toiletries provided were top quality. Breakfast was really good and served in a very elegant dining room ,where we were greeted every morning with a smile. We also ate in the lounge on our first night and the food was so delicious that we ate there every evening of our stay. We had a lovely stay and felt welcomed and pampered. I love the manners and care shown to us by all the staff we met. We will stay in The Granville any time we are in Waterford. As an aside I loved the history information provided throughout the hotel Thank you all for a relaxing and pampering break

Historical Charm
Used to visit Waterford frequently in the 1990s with work and always stayed in The Granville whenever I could. My wife and I were in Waterford for a concert at the Theatre Royal and just had to stay in the Granville. It still has the historical charm of an old home and the standards that were the norm of the past. I used to travel frequently with my work and usually hotels were often nondescript and soulless…not the Granville… hope it never changes !

Fantastic stay
The reception staff are very welcoming and friendly knowledgeable.we keep returning because we love the hotel very it's like being part of the family. The restaurant staff and bar staff are also very welcoming and friendly.I would always recommend the Granville to anyone

Comfortable weekend stay
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Granville. The staff are super attentive and anything we needed in our room was very speedily fulfilled. Breakfast was a delight with plenty of very tasty options, including local specialities. Looking forward to visiting again.

Amazing hotel
Everything was absolutely amazing in this hotel. Strictly recommended!! The room was big enough. The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm enough. The bar food was nice as well. If we go to Waterford again we know where to stay :)

Relaxing break
Staff really welcoming and so helpful, all so friendly. Restaurant lovely and food excellent.
Bar food also excellent. Location very central to shops bars restaurants and museums and Waterford glass showrooms.Would definitely stay there again.

Weekend away
Charming old world surroundings and welcoming staff in excellent location.
WE really enjoyed our break in the South east and would happily stay here again.
Excellent breakfast with wide range of options. We also had dinner there one night and food was faultless.

Lovely warm welcome
This is my style .Its an old ,but well updated , hotel. Full of charm and beautiful colours . The food was also well prepared and delivered to a high standard .Add to that ,the staff were excellent and obliging in every way.

Fantastic
We stayed in the hotel last weekend due to having car issues in the area we booked fairly last minute thankfully they had room for us which we were super delighted the hotel is fantastic and the staff are so lovely at both reception and in the restaurant they couldn't do enough for us. The hotel it's self is spotless the rooms also spotless and are fantastic bed is super comfy had great night sleep which was well needed the decor in the hotel is very inkeeping with the history I will definitely be back again to stay

A Joy to be a Guest .
Exceptional staff greeting by front desk team. A really delightful and elegantly appointed room. Bar with great team serving a great selection of food , I dined at the bar and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Breakfast was an excellent selection with staff who were very friendly and knowledgeable. I have already made a repeat booking .

Outstanding service and great value!
My wife and I visited the hotel for one night for my wife's birthday. It is excellently located on the quays, with the city centre on the doorstep.
The room rate we chose included breakfast and dinner in their Bianconi Restaurant. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The food in the restaurant was excellent with good choice, excellent presentation and timely service. The range of wines at dinner was good. Breakfast was served as opposed to the usual buffet style and we enjoyed perfectly-cooked eggs benedict. Having stayed in so many sterile 'cookie cutter' chain hotels, it is lovely to visit a hotel with excellent character and traditional decor.
The outstanding aspect of our stay was the warm and friendly welcome and exceptional service delivered by every member of the staff.

Best overall hotel in Waterford
The Grandville is our number 1 destination when we travel to Waterford. It’s in the perfect location to access all the amenities in the town. The staff are incredibly friendly especially Fiona and Emma behind the reception desk who always recognise us when we return.
We highly recommend breakfast. The table service gives it that premium feel and you have the option to help yourself to fruits, yogurts, pastries,
and so much more from their buffet.
And as you can imagine with such a great breakfast the evening dining options in both the bar and restaurant area are fantastic.
The grandville has a warm, contemporary and homely feel. Great value for money and an all rounder great hotel. It always feels like we have arrived back home when we visit.

Rugby weekend
A beautiful, homely hotel. Nothing was too much trouble in making our stay comfortable. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. We had breakfast each morning which was extremely nice with an added bonus of Muldoon on your porridge ( an Irish liqueur) and an evening meal with plenty to choose from. We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and will hopefully be returning soon.
