Waterford Greenway

The old railway line from Waterford City to Dungarvan is now a spectacular 46km off-road cycling and walking trail known as the Waterford Greenway which travels through time and nature across eleven bridges, three tall viaducts and a long mtmospheric tunnel, all the way from the river to the sea. The Granville Hotel is the ideal base for a visit to the Waterford Greenway with the starting pointe short walk or cycle from the hotel. 

The Waterford Greenway was named as winner of 'Best Visitor Attraction' in the Irish Independent 2022 Reader Travel Awards.

  • Included bike hire in the Waterford Greenway package
  • Secure bike storage - This is an area behind reception which can only be acccessed through the hotel, however, we advise guests are using this facility at their own risk and we ask that you bring your own bike lock
  • Brochures and maps available from reception
  • Packed lunch for your journey
  • Laundry services when you return

Where can I hire a bike?

If you have booked the Waterford Greenway package, the bike hire included in your stay. Otherwise we recommend that you book in advance with Waterford Greenway Bike Hire. Their prices are as follows: 

  • Kids Bike: €10.00
  • Adult Bike: €25.00
  • Electric Bike: €45.00

They also have bikes with buggies and kids seats avilable on request.
