Morning Coffee & Homemade Baking

Sometimes all you need is a good cup of coffee, a comfortable corner and something freshly baked.

Drop in during the morning for tea or coffee accompanied by homemade scones, pastries and cakes. Our scones are particularly good served warm with the Granville's award-winning homemade strawberry or raspberry jam.

There is no need for an occasion – simply find a cosy corner and stay awhile.

Our Traditional Carvery Lunch

A Granville tradition and a firm favourite with generations of Waterford customers.

Our carvery is served seven days a week, with a daily selection of freshly prepared meats and fish, seasonal vegetables, potatoes and accompaniments, followed by a tempting choice of homemade desserts.

Whether it is a quick weekday lunch, a catch-up with friends or part of your Sunday routine, expect generous portions, traditional flavours and friendly Granville service.

Carvery served daily from 12.30pm.

Evening Bar Food

As afternoon turns to evening, settle in and enjoy relaxed dining in one of the bar's cosy corners.

Our evening bar food menu is served seven days a week and combines familiar favourites with dishes inspired by the best of Irish produce and local flavours.

It is informal, welcoming and uncomplicated – good food, generous portions and plenty of time to enjoy the company.

When the music starts, the Thomas Francis Meagher Bar takes on another character altogether.

Live music is a regular part of life at the Granville, with a mix of traditional Irish music and popular live acts throughout the month.

It is relaxed, informal and all part of a night out at the Granville – enjoy something to eat, stay for a drink and let the evening unfold.

A Bar with a Story

The bar takes its name from Thomas Francis Meagher, who was born at the Granville Hotel in 1823 and went on to become one of the most significant figures in Irish history.

Meagher first flew the Irish Tricolour in Waterford in 1848 before later travelling to the United States, where his remarkable life continued.

His story forms part of the Granville's own history and gives the bar a connection to Waterford that goes far beyond its name.
