The Granville Hotel has been recognised among the best hotels in Ireland, earning a coveted spot on Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best Hotels list for 2025 for the second consecutive year. This year the Granville Hotel jumped three places and ranked No. 11, placing it among the top hotels in Ireland for quality and quantity of guest reviews.
The annual Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards are the highest recognition given by the platform, celebrated by only 1% of hotels worldwide. The Granville Hotel stands out particularly for its exceptional atmosphere, prime location in the heart of Waterford city and for their outstanding service. We join an exclusive group of properties in this year’s rankings, which include a number of five-star hotels, some of which are considered among the best in the world.
Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards
On Tuesday 31st January we attanded the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards in the Galmont Hotel Galway. We were honoured to receive the Silver Award in the Ireland's City Hotel category.
Waterford Chamber of Commerce Business Awards
In the 2022 Waterford Chamber of Commerce BusinessAward we were delighted to have been chosen as the winners in the 'Customer Service Excellence' category.
Great Place to Work
We have officially been certified as a Great Place to Work. To be certified for this accreditation, all members of staff were sent a survey which they completed anonymously. It had questions about working life in the Granville Hotel and we were delighted to reach the scores necessary to be one of the first hotels in Waterford to be deemed a great place to work.
Irish Hotel Awards
In Ocotober 2022 we attended the Irish Hotel Awards where we won Boutique Hotel of the Year for Munster. Our Bar Manager Ann Power not only won Bar Manager of the Year for Munster but also won the Overall Bar Manager of the Year Award. Truly deserved after nearly 40 years of service in the Granville Hotel. Our Housekeeping Manager Volha Chukava was nominated for Housekeeping Manager of the Year and the hotel was nominated for Best 4-Star Hotel of the Year.

The mature Irish staff with young local staff working alongside - they're what Irish hospitality used to be about... chatty but not intrusive, charming and full of local recommendations for us to do.
