The Old railway line from Waterford City to Dungarvan is a spectacular 46km off-road cycling and walking trail which travels through time and nature across eleven bridges, three tall viaducts and a long atmospheric tunnel, all the way from the river to the sea.
Waterford Cycle Tours
Waterford Cycling Tours is based in the heart of Waterford City and offers daily tours, lasting approximately two hours. The City Tours include the People’s Park Waterford, The City Quays, Bilberry Rock, Ballybricken and the historic Viking Triangle, Museums and Waterford Crystal.

A short drive from the Granville Hotel is the coastal town of Tramore. The Copper Coast is a stretch of the southern coast of Ireland in County Waterford, extending for some 17 km from Kilfarrasy in the east to Stradbally in the west. It is named for the historic metal-mining industry, the legacies of which now constitute a tourist attraction. The area was declared a European Geopark in 2001 and a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2004. This geologically diverse area contains records of Palaeozoic volcanism and the last ice age - a heritage which is interpreted locally for the visitor. The geopark trust maintains a visitor centre at Monksland Church in Knockmahon

The front 9 was designed by Willie Park Junior (twice Open Champion), and the back 9 was designed by the great James Braid, five times Open Champion. With its magnificent views, this parkland course is a gem on the outskirts of Waterford City.
Set on 130 acres of rolling country side Williamstown Golf Course is a Par 72, 18 hole Golf Course. Designed by top architect Eddie Hackett, the course at 6,7000 yards is one of the longest inland 18 hole courses in Ireland.

Waterford Nature Park is located just outside the City Centre, this 150 approx acre site is an oasis in the midst of busy city life. including a 2km walkway and a mix of paths on tarmacadam and paths mown through meadow, this park is an ideal place to unwind and spend a day with nature.
